Kaleah Scanlon is an emerging drummer and percussionist who has been involved in many musical projects over the past five years, including playing alongside Australian Artist Alex the Astronaut. Kaleah has appeared with Alex the Astronaut on the ABC show The Sound and is looking forward to supporting Australian music royalty Paul Kelly and Missy Higgins at Sandstone Point Hotel, as well as playing at Splendour in the Grass this July. Alongside her adventures in the contemporary music scene, Kaleah enjoys performing with ensembles such as Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra and Australian Youth Orchestra.
A recipient of the Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship and runner up in the 2019 and 2020 Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Snare Drum Award, Kaleah is currently completing a Bachelor of Music at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. She is guided under the tutelage of Professor Vanessa Tomlinson (Clocked Out) and Daniel Hanson (Ball Park Music).
Alongside her passion for performance, Kaleah is enthusiastic about the next generation of drummers and is excited to bring that passion to the Just Percussion Music School.
